Bryce Canyon Cost FAQ
How much does it cost to visit Bryce Canyon National Park in 2026?
A private vehicle pays $35 for 7 days, a motorcycle $30, and individuals on foot or bike $20 per person (youth 15 and under are free). Non-U.S. residents 16+ pay an additional $100-per-person surcharge. Use the calculator above for your exact total.
What is the new $100 Bryce Canyon surcharge?
Starting January 1, 2026, non-U.S. residents age 16 and older pay a $100 per-person surcharge on top of the regular entrance fee at Bryce Canyon. Holders of a Bryce Canyon Annual Pass or an America the Beautiful interagency pass are not charged the surcharge.
Which Bryce Canyon pass is cheapest for my trip?
Visiting two or more national parks in a year? The $80 America the Beautiful pass (U.S. residents; $250 for non-residents) usually wins. Returning to Bryce Canyon only? The $70 Bryce Canyon Annual Pass. A single U.S.-resident visit? Just pay $35 at the gate. The Bryce Canyon Annual Pass is available to U.S. citizens and residents only.
Does Bryce Canyon require a hiking permit or lottery?
No. Bryce Canyon has no permit or lottery system for day hikes — every trail along the rim and down into the amphitheater (Navajo Loop, Queen's Garden, Peekaboo, and more) is open to walk-up hikers with paid park entry. A backcountry permit is only required for overnight trips on the Under-the-Rim and Riggs Spring Loop trails.
