4th West Pub sits at 425 W Main St in Escalante, making it the only bar along the entire Scenic Byway 12 corridor. That alone earns it a spot on every itinerary passing through town on the way to or from Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, roughly 35 miles west of Bryce Canyon. It's a family-owned neighborhood pub with a genuinely local feel — no tourist-trap pricing, no performance.

Food

Practical Notes

Hours run Tuesday through Saturday, 5–10 PM — closed Sunday and Monday. If you're arriving Sunday evening after a Bryce day trip, plan ahead. Outdoor seating is available, and the pub offers dine-in, takeout, and games for a relaxed evening wind-down in Escalante.

I stumbled upon this cute little bar right on Main Street as you drive through Escalante, and it’s a real gem. The vibe is cozy, the service is friendly, and the drinks are delish. They also have a great selection of games, including a foosball table, which is nice especially when it rains or if you just need a fun break between hikes or a moment to chill at the end of the day. It’s also open late, which is a bonus since, like many small towns in the park area, things close early, so it’s nice to have a place to stop and unwind after a day of exploring. The food was a bit of a mixed bag; I wasn’t a big fan of my tacos; they were just okay, but my partner loved her burger. Still, a great spot for drinks, fun, and a laid-back stop on your way through town!

After a long day hiking, this place is a gem where you feel welcome. It is a nice and well kept pub, where you get good food, drinks and asylum. I ❤️ Escalante, wish you the best.

God awful food, cool building. We heard, afterwards, that the burgers and loaded fried were the only safe choice. We had unfortunately ordered a panini and the steak street tacos. Appetizers were the honey chipotle wings and queso. The queso was straight out of a jar and tasteless. The wings were fried beyond extra well done, and the honey chipotle sauce tasted more like capsaicin sprinkled into BBQ sauce and then squeezed onto the wings+outrageously hot with little to no flavor. My sandwich was mid, but the side salad and dressing was delicious. 😂 My boyfriend's street tacos were and very little food for the price on the menu. We spent $80 for the food, and a drink each. The bartender/cashier/server was also extremely passive-aggressive. I warn everyone to please consider eating somewhere else, when in Escalante. I realize there is not much to choose from out in the middle of nowhere in April, but...there are other choices. I have NO idea how this place has 4.6 stars.

The service by Hayden was very nice and he makes a great margarita. The margarita was simple and clean, very well made indeed. And my husband had the juicy IPA which he said was very good as well. We had the Chipotle burger and the pork tacos both of which were so good. This being our first time we recommend a stop if you’re in the area.

The cutest pub! The decor and ambiance is great, they even have a community library, games, and FREE pool. Drinks are cheap and service was great. Food was okay, the smoked salsa is unique but needed alot of salt. I wouldn't get the paninis and get the burgers instead.
