About

Three miles from Bryce Canyon's entrance, this sprawling resort property offers everything from basic motel rooms to standalone cabins with kitchenettes. It's the kind of place where function beats form. You're here for the proximity to the park, not the amenities, though they do have an outdoor pool that's nice after a day of hiking.

Dining and Amenities

The restaurant serves standard American fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Nothing groundbreaking, but it gets the job done when you're too tired to drive anywhere else.

On-site conveniences include:

  • Gift shop with postcards, t-shirts, and forgotten toiletries

  • Small bar for planning tomorrow's hike over a beer

  • Outdoor pool for afternoon relaxation

Room Quality and Options

The property shows its age, and housekeeping can be inconsistent. Some rooms are recently updated, others feel stuck in the 90s. The cabins offer more space and basic kitchen facilities (think microwave and mini-fridge), which works for families or longer stays. Just manage your expectations. This isn't luxury lodging.

What you're paying for is location. Roll out of bed and you're 10 minutes from Sunrise Point. That convenience matters when you're chasing golden hour light or trying to beat the crowds to popular viewpoints. The pool area provides a decent spot to relax in the afternoon when the park gets hot.

For budget-conscious travelers who prioritize park access over polish, it works. Book direct for better rates, especially in shoulder season. And if you get a cabin, check the corners and behind furniture before settling in.

While the person who waited on us was extremely nice I personally would not stay at this hotel again, unless it was the only thing available. The room was clean and it smelled decently, but the beds were horrible, the pillows were the squares that flattened out as soon as you put your head on them. The breakfast in the morning was powdered eggs with some pancakes. I’m trying not to be a hotel snob because the woman that waited on us was extremely kind, but $173 for this room is not worth it. My lesson learned.

Finding the reception was a treasure hunt 😅 the lady was friendly and helpful but the whole environment needs to be renovated and the breakfast could be a little better stocked.

I BEG YOU TO BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. Extreme disappointment and frustration with multiple serious issues that occurred. I selected the property based on the amenities advertised on your website/expedia and in the confirmation email, and what was provided fell significantly short of what was promised. To begin with, breakfast was a key reason I booked this hotel. The confirmation email explicitly stated that breakfast would include eggs, meats, and carbohydrates. Instead, what was offered was limited to bread, fruit, and coffee, which is not what was advertised and is completely unacceptable. This is a clear case of misleading information. Additionally, the breakfast hours were inaccurately listed as 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM, when in reality breakfast was only available from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. This lack of transparency caused unnecessary inconvenience and further added to my frustration. I also attempted to contact the front desk twice by phone prior to arrival, and no one answered either time. Also contacting the hotel manager Roger through email and no response. This level of unresponsiveness is unacceptable for any hotel, especially one that presents itself professionally online. Also, the automatic email that gets send our to clients says clearly states that we will be charged $12.99 per night but when I got there I was charged $29.98 (which is $14.99 per night). This is yet again another misinformation and illegal. Finally, the hotel advertises a dinner service beginning at 5:00 PM, including what is described as “award-winning best ribs.” However, the restaurant was not open at all during my stay. Advertising a service that is completely unavailable is misleading and unacceptable. Taken together, these issues represent a pattern of false advertising and poor service, not isolated mistakes. Please go somewhere else.
