It's one of only a handful of dinner options in town, which makes it a practical stop whether you're staying at the lodge or just passing through the Grand Staircase-Escalante corridor. The kitchen serves dinner Tuesday through Saturday, typically from around 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM — confirm current hours when you arrive in town since hours vary by season. Burgers, sandwiches, and hearty salads are the backbone of the menu, alongside appetizers like chicken wings and a bean-and-vegetable dip. Vegetarian options are available. The price tier is budget-friendly, consistent with a lodge grill rather than a destination restaurant.
The restaurant sits at 760 UT-12, about 45 minutes east of Bryce Canyon's entrance. Dine-in and takeout are both available. If you're staying elsewhere in Escalante and want a low-effort dinner without driving far, Canyon Grill fills the gap. For a broader selection, the town's few other dining spots — including Nemo's and the pizza options — are within a short drive along Main Street.

You will not find a better priced kids meal! As an avid google reviewer, the 3 star reviews seem uncalled for. For Escalante, the food and service is great. Workers were especially welcoming and accommodating to our large group which included a bunch of small children.

Fantastic. I dont know if they changed the chef or what since these other lower star reviews. Our party all got different things and everyone loved their food. My burger was delicious and we had great service.

The grill is not open for the foreseeable future. I told the front desk they could update it on Google Maps and they just kinda shrugged their shoulders.

We were skeptical about coming here due to the reviews but we are glad we came in. Food was good. We got our meal quickly and they were very friendly.
