Desert Grill

BBQ and breakfast on the highway to Bryce

(839)
Panguitch, UT

About

Desert Grill occupies a spot on North Main Street in Panguitch, the largest town on the US-89 corridor between Bryce Canyon and I-15. It's a casual, family-run spot known for BBQ and comfort food, making it a practical stop whether you're fueling up before heading into the park or winding down after a long day on the trails.

What to Eat

The kitchen leans into barbecue as its core identity — ribs, pulled pork, and brisket are regulars on the menu alongside American diner staples. Breakfast runs in the morning and covers the expected range: pancakes, French toast, egg plates. An enchilada soup has drawn repeat mentions from diners, and the portions tend toward the generous side. Menu items change with availability.

Atmosphere and Hours

The dining room is unpretentious and family-friendly with outdoor seating available. Hours are generally 8 AM to 9 PM, though it's worth confirming for your visit, especially in shoulder seasons. The restaurant does not offer delivery, but curbside pickup and takeout are available. No reservations are typically required.

Getting There

Desert Grill is at 614 N Main St, Panguitch, about 24 miles north of the Bryce Canyon NP entrance on US-89. Panguitch itself has a small grocery store and a fuel station nearby, making it a natural resupply stop for Bryce-area visitors coming from the north.

Stopped by here on our way through town. Place was cute and clean. Service was excellent!! Loved our waitress, wish I would have gotten her name-she told me she had worked there for 30 years! Great gal 💖 Food came out quickly and was really good. Homemade biscuits and gravy!! We will be back next time

This little diner lost in the middle of America is fantastic, the service is great with unfailing kindness and professionalism, the food is normal, good, inexpensive, I recommend it.

A place worth considering near Bryce Canyon. A typical diner with an assortment of burgers, sandwiches, and meat dishes. The baked beans are excellent as a side dish.
