About

The Pizza Place in Tropic is one of the most convenient dinner options for Bryce Canyon visitors. Tropic sits about 8 miles east of the park entrance on UT-12, and after a long day on the hoodoo trails, a straightforward pizza dinner beats driving further. It's casual, affordable, and has outdoor seating — a useful detail when the summer evening air is still warm and you want to sit outside.

Menu

The menu focuses on pizza with a range of topping combinations, plus pasta, salads, and appetizers. Gluten-free crust is available, which is a notable option given the limited dining choices in the immediate Bryce area. The full menu is posted at brycecanyonpizza.com. The price range is on the lower end for the area — expect straightforward pizza-parlor pricing rather than upscale restaurant rates.

Hours and Logistics

Current hours run approximately 4:00–8:30 PM daily (confirm at brycecanyonpizza.com or by calling (435) 679-8888, as hours can shift seasonally). The location at 21 N Main St is easy to find — Tropic's Main Street is short, and the restaurant is visible from the road. Outdoor seating makes it a reasonable option for groups or families who want space after a crowded day at the park.

Context

Dining options within a few miles of Bryce Canyon are limited. For visitors staying in Bryce Canyon City or along the UT-12 corridor near Tropic, The Pizza Place is a reliable, low-fuss dinner without the 25-mile drive to Panguitch.

The food is actually quite delicious! My wife and I got the artichoke beignets, which were very tasty. The supreme pizza which we really enjoy a root beer with pizza so we got root beer. And Peg’s cheesy bread. The service was fast and attentive and we highly recommend this restaurant. It’s starting to become a tradition for us to eat there when we come to Bryce Canyon National Park!

Tried wings and their artichoke beignets along with a pesto pasta. Appetizers were on point - good texture and well seasoned. Probably would skip the pasta and go with a pizza next time! Has a relaxed interior atmosphere and is a good option for dining after a long day of outdoor adventures.

Wife and I had dinner here and the breads ticks were really soft, warm and had a good dipping sauce. We ordered the classic pepperoni pizza. The pizza was very cheesy with plenty of pepperoni toppings. It was also very reasonably priced. Definitely worth the stop.

My husband and I went here for dinner while visiting Bryce Canyon. We both had a side salad and ordered the medium sized supreme pizza without the pineapple. Service was fast and friendly. The pizza was really good with lots of cheese and fresh toppings. It was definitely better than a rather famous place near the park.

First, got sat after waiting 30 seconds. Got menus and ice water. 5 minutes later our order was taken. 10 minutes after that 2 pizzas, cheese bread and a calzone were at our table - hot and delicious. The pizzas were excellent with lots of cheese, plenty of toppings, and great sauce with a perfect crust. The calzone was exceptional because I ordered 5 different fillings. So 2 pizzas, cheese bread, calzone - And drinks for everyone - $48 before tax! Fed my family for less than $50! The place was clean, efficient, and served great food! We will go there again this trip!
