Cedar Ridge Golf Course

Cedar Ridge Golf Course is Cedar City's municipal 18-hole course, set against the red hills on the east bench of town at 900 North 200 East, about 80 miles (roughly an hour and a half) from Bryce Canyon City via US-89 and I-15. If you're staging a longer southern Utah trip and want a full 18 rather than a quick 9, this is the closest real option to Bryce.

The layout is a par 73 that plays anywhere from 5,375 yards off the reds to 6,902 off the tips, with three sets of tees so it works across a wide range of ability. Five par 5s give it more length and strategy than a typical small-town municipal track, and the red rock backdrop is a reminder you're still in canyon country even after leaving the park behind.

The practice facilities are a real strength: a full driving range, putting green, and chipping green mean you can actually warm up before you tee off, which a lot of small courses skip. The pro shop carries current equipment and rents clubs if you didn't bring your own.

As a city-owned course, greens fees stay reasonable. It draws a mix of Cedar City locals, Southern Utah University students and faculty, and travelers passing through on I-15.
