Adams Head
A 10,430-foot backcountry summit with views toward Panguitch.
About
Adams Head is a 10,430-foot summit in the Dixie National Forest high country above Bryce Canyon, on the plateau country near Powell Point. From the top, the view opens west over the Right Fork of Sanford Creek toward Panguitch, with Powell Point and several other named peaks visible across the plateau.
This is backcountry terrain rather than a signed park hike — no visitor center display or maintained interpretive trail, just a high point reached by those willing to navigate forest roads and cross-country plateau travel. It's more likely to appear on a peakbagger's list or a topo map than in a standard park hiking guide. Forest Service rules apply here, not national park rules, so dispersed camping in the area is generally fine.
