A sprawling cowboy-themed resort with pools, dining, and everything you need for your park adventure.
Ruby's Inn is basically its own little universe right at the gateway to Bryce Canyon National Park. This isn't just a hotel; it's a full-service basecamp with restaurants, a massive general store, gift shops, pools (both indoor and outdoor), and even a basketball court. The whole place has a Western theme that kids love, though the cowboy decor is more kitschy than authentic.
The rooms are standard Best Western fare: clean, functional, and due for some updates. But you're not here for luxury; you're here because you can walk to dinner, grab forgotten camping gear, and be at the park entrance in under five minutes. The included breakfast buffet gets solid marks for variety and portions. The attached restaurant serves three meals a day (handy when you're exhausted from hiking).
What really sets Ruby's apart is the general store. It's part grocery, part outfitter, part souvenir shop, and surprisingly well-stocked.
Forgot sunscreen? Need trail snacks? Want a Bryce Canyon t-shirt?
It's all here, and the prices really aren't bad considering you're at a park gateway.
During summer, the place buzzes with activity.
In winter, it's one of the few things still open, which makes it essential.
The pools are a genuine highlight after a dusty day on the trails. There's something for everyone: indoor pool for chilly evenings, outdoor pool for summer afternoons, hot tubs for sore muscles. Families particularly appreciate having these amenities without driving anywhere.
For Bryce Canyon National Park visits, the location can't be beat. You'll pay a bit more than staying in Panguitch or Tropic, but the convenience factor is real. Being able to hit the park at sunrise without a long drive? That's worth something. Just know you're choosing practicality over charm.

A fantastic hotel in a great location (if you're going to Bryce Canyon). Comfortable, stylish, and has everything you need. We had a really nice time here, and our only regret is that it was too short.
