About

Entrada Escalante Lodge is a boutique property on Highway 12 in downtown Escalante, positioned at the midpoint of Scenic Byway 12's most dramatic stretch. The lodge sits within Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument's sphere — trailheads, slot canyons, and backcountry roads fan out in every direction from town. Bryce Canyon National Park is roughly 65 miles to the west; Capitol Reef is about the same distance east.

Rooms

Eight rooms in three configurations: Single King, Double Queen, and a Deluxe King Suite. All rooms include luxury mattresses, 50-inch smart TVs, and heated bathrooms. The Single King has a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker; the Double Queen adds a kitchenette; the Deluxe King Suite comes with a full kitchen. Pets are welcome in select rooms for an additional nightly fee. Free Wi-Fi and free self-parking are included. The property also has an on-site Tesla Supercharger — a practical detail on a highway corridor where the next charger can be 50 miles away.

On-Site Dining and Location

The lodge's attached Waffles & Wildflowers restaurant handles breakfast and more without requiring a drive into town. Escalante itself has a handful of outfitter shops and a gas station; for broader resupply, plan before you arrive. This is a well-suited base for multi-day canyoneering trips into the monument or a thorough exploration of the Highway 12 corridor. Book ahead for spring and fall — it's a small property in high demand during peak season.

Beautiful location. Very kind innkeepers. Well-maintained suite with full kitchen. Outdoor grill available. Very clean and super quiet. We returned for the fourth time. I can only confirm the positive previous impressions; in fact, a nice surprise awaited us as there is now a restaurant in place of the old lobby. It's called the Old Bull, with a Japanese twist and the chef is Terry's son, the very kind innkeeper. The menu is very well-curated and the atmosphere is excellent! We were there two nights and were very satisfied both times. Congratulations, keep up the good work.

Quiet rooms with beautiful views off the private patio. Very comfortable room with a kitchenette that made a perfect base for day trips out to Bryce Canyon and the Grand Staircase National Monument. The staff was helpful and kind, the room was perfect with lots of the small touches that made us feel right at home. I highly recommend!

Honestly, run…don’t walk to book your reservation. This is the sweetest place with the smallest touch of details that matter. The most important thing is that it’s SO CLEAN!

Loved our stay at Entrada Escalante Lodge. The view from the back porch was amazing. It was perfect for us. Lots of room. Small kitchenette was helpful and nice big bathroom and shower. Lots of little unexpected amenities and great location. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Escalante.

The most remarkable stay of our Utah NP trip. Very large and comfortable room. All the little touches you could think of. Has a back patio which is very relaxing with a wonderful view. Outstanding local fresh ground coffee is the smoothest coffee I've ever had. Several tea choices too. Strongly recommend. Would definitely stay here again.
