About

The Rodeway Inn Bryce Canyon sits on UT-12 south of Panguitch, about 12 miles from Bryce Canyon National Park's entrance. It is a straightforward budget option on the corridor — no pool, no restaurant — but it covers the basics reliably for travelers who want an inexpensive, clean room close to the park.

Rooms

The property offers rooms with one king, one double, or two double beds. Every room includes free Wi-Fi, free parking, a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, and a private bathroom. Air conditioning is standard. The hotel is 100% smoke-free. Pet-friendly rooms are available for dogs under 50 lbs for an additional nightly fee.

Practical Notes

  • Check-in at 3 PM, check-out at 11 AM; 24-hour front desk
  • Coin-operated laundry on site
  • Complimentary coffee available in the lobby
  • Fax and copy services available for a fee

Location

The hotel's main selling point is its position along the Bryce Canyon gateway. Panguitch proper — with its handful of restaurants, a grocery store, and the Panguitch Lake recreation area to the west — is a few minutes north. Red Canyon's trailheads are within 10 miles, and the drive to Bryce Canyon's Sunrise Point takes about 15 minutes. If you are here primarily to hike and don't need resort amenities, this property delivers the proximity without the markup.

I was staying a few nights for Bryce Canyon Ntl Park. It's like 20-min away. Super easy access to freeways, gas station, 10-min away is a super market for milk and such. Community is calm. Chill. Strict on sensible speed limit. Would recommend and would stay here again. It's in an odd-ish area, but it's super unique in that sense. Definitely tey the burger joint next door. It's lovely, I got the BLT with the lemonade.

We were really happy with the rooms and service here. The location is about 20-25 minutes from Bryce but leaves you centrally located so you can visit Panguitch and Hatch easily. The room felt clean, the linens were clean, and we saw the hotel being cleaned and cared for each day. Honestly for the price this can’t be beat. You’ll be safe, clean, and have a space to relax between hiking. This is easily a 10/10 for us.

Great location at the junction of Hwy 89 and Hwy 12, just a 15-minute drive to Bryce Canyon National Park. It’s a very convenient base for visiting the park. The Stay: The room was decent with a very spacious bathroom. Although the facilities are a bit dated, they are well-maintained and functional. The soundproofing is good, and the AC kept the room comfortable, so I had a great night's sleep. The only downside is the lack of a desk, which makes it a bit difficult if you need to work on a laptop. Overall: If you aren't overly concerned with modern aesthetics and are looking for a place to stay while exploring Bryce, this is a perfect choice. The price is unbeatable—excellent value for the money.

Those beds felt like a warm hug after a long road trip. The place itself has a nice welcoming feel. But the smell of coffee lingers in the hallway but it is most faint.

Good stay for a very affordable price and a great base for a trip to Bryce Canyon. The room was a bit dated, but it was clean. Having a TV and a coffee maker in the room was a nice bonus, especially for grabbing a coffee before an early morning drive to the park. For what this motel is, I would have happily given it full stars. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was disappointing, as the staff seemed very unmotivated and not particularly friendly. That was a shame and took away from an otherwise pleasant stay. Overall, I would still recommend it to anyone looking for a budget-friendly overnight stop on a road trip.
