Slot Canyons Inn sits on UT-12 west of Escalante, right on the edge of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. It's a purpose-built bed-and-breakfast opened in 2006, and it stands out on this stretch of highway for combining well-appointed rooms with an on-site restaurant — rare in a town where dining options are limited. Bryce Canyon is roughly 50 miles northwest; Escalante's famous slot canyons (Spooky, Peek-a-boo, Coyote Gulch) are accessible within minutes.

Many rooms include a balcony or terrace with views of the surrounding canyon landscape — garden, mountain, or river perspectives depending on the unit. Escalante is a small town with a limited commercial strip; having breakfast and dinner available on-site removes the need to drive around hunting for meals after a long day of hiking. The inn also offers a sun terrace, lounge, and picnic area. Free on-site parking is included. This is a practical base for multi-day exploration of Grand Staircase-Escalante as well as day trips toward Bryce.

My wife and I loved everything about this inn. The rooms were large and beautifully decorated. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The scenery was the best part though. Beautiful mountain vistas from every angle. If you are lucky enough to visit here, make sure you have the homemade breakfast every morning and visit the mini goats and horses. Wonderful experience and we will definitely be back!

Slot Canyons Inn is so lovely! The rooms are all unique. We stayed in the Calf Creek room. The jetted tub felt so good on our sore muscles after a long day of hiking. The adjacent North Creek Grill is such a gem! The included breakfast was fantastic too. The location is a tiny bit out of the way, but near Bryce Canyon and Grand Staircase -Escalante National Monument. Because you're out in a remote area, the night sky is amazing too. Price is extremely reasonable for a bed and breakfast, particularly one close to national parks! Would highly recommend staying here.

This stay was truly one of a kind. You’re in the middle of the mountains/canyon. You’re 40 minutes from Bryce Canyon, right off the famous and scenic Highway 12. The rooms are very clean and nice, they have horses, goats, ponies and cats on property that all are sweet and friendly. The host Ms. Carolyn is such a kind, thoughtful and motherly person - she truly makes you feel at home. I would highly recommend staying here!

This place quickly became one of our favorite places to stay. Truly a home away from home. Carolyn made us breakfast every morning which was delicious! We made new friends with other couples staying, as well as with the cats around the property, the goats and mini horse. Our room was perfect with an amazing view of the canyons from our porch, a very comfy bed, fireplace and giant tubs (if you love soaking the Anasazi suite is for you!). We were so sad to leave! Carolyn was an amazing host

Slot Canyons Inn was a great find. The service was fantastic. Carolyn goes out of her way to make your stay special. Her breakfasts are fantastic. I bought the book they have available as all the inns recipes are in there. We will definitely come back.
